Why's it acceptable for people to hype Spence but not golovkin? Answer me that. A prospect is allowed to be hyped and win all these mythical match ups, but a guy with 18 middle weight defences and holds 3 belts can't be hyped, and cant be considered elite p4p? GTFOH. How are the situations the same?

The narrative these guys are trying to spin is ridiculous.

I had a GGG avatar for probably my first 6 months on the site. There are dozens of threads in which I defended GGG's resume (back when DirkDigglerUK was still posting ), and plenty of polls in which I voted for GGG's resume being better than other fighters, GGG being higher on the P4P list than others etc.

But the second posters like myself render any kind of reasonable criticism at GGG, relative to the high regard to which he is held, we must be Black (I'm not) and we must hate him (I don't) because he's White (could care less about that).

So true. Bojangles1987 said his resume wasn't great and some dude told him he was black.

Notice that there are basically no posts critical of Lomachenko's credentials, skills, or rankings.

And yet there are some making reasonable criticisms of some of GGG's performances in the ring and his P4P standing.

And the conclusion y'all reach from these two things is that the problem is GGG's skin color. WTF?

I cannot fathom the mental gymnastics you have to perform in order to arrive at that conclusion.

At 135 he would be proven against elite fighters not the B+ guys filling his resume like it is at MW, GGG has not fought anyone that's my only slur on him.

Other than that I don't like his fans for all the over the top hype, now we know he is just a one paced flat footed puncher with not much else.

Team Spence believes in their guy and are looking to make big fights with big money to follow. Team g string just doesn't have that kind of confidence in him and will only match him tough if it's for outrageous money.
