only for big money fights. Mayweather and Froch didn't want that work. it's no different to Spence saying he'll go to 154 only for Canelo. .come on Max you know its business big drama show.

Everyone needs to relax. Jacobs isn't breaking any "rules", he's voluntarily opting out of fighting for the IBF title. No big deal, he's still fighting for wba/wbc. Besides not having to make a 2nd day way in, he's gonna save money on sanctioning fees. I really don't see what the big deal is.

Someone tweet fat-boy Billy Joe Saunders, tell him according to the IBF hes not eligible to be champion...also add Canelo to that list and ask them if they care.

What is this IBF ruling now? Not important, we still have a fight on.

I lost all respect for this guy. If you want to change the rules, negotiate beforehand. Don't just skip out. Same goes for Lemieux.

I'll enjoy seeing Jacobs get beaten into submission.

IBF rules state golovkin keeps the belt if he loses.

                It doesnt become vacant.

Why do you even address notions such as "honor" and "respectability" in this particular context... It would be a plain fallacy...

He thinks extra weight is supposed to help his punch resistance, it wont and GGG will still KO him.

Keith, if you'Re going to bring up circumstance, at least state that Lemieux and Stevens were IBF Eliminators as you stated so yourself vs actual title defense.

The main context is 2nd Day weigh in for an IBF title, as you stated so yourself, that the WBA and WBC have different rules. Therefore you could at least insinuated that ''perhaps'' Jacobs feels comfortable with accordance to traditional protocols for the others straps and nothing more.

Whereas Lemieux, ''forgot'' or ''didn't know'' about the 2nd Day weigh in applied to an IBF eliminator. How about Lemieux too knew the consequence but instead figured a win is better than the restriction. Considering it GBP setting up title shots for Lemieux wouldn't seem hard to make..

Jacobs has a completely different set of circumstances. Let a dude eat! Jacobs be looking toned in every fight since, thinner than Quillin, all under WBA rules...whereas Lemieux's fatass torso is suspect..
