Hopkins was not prime when Taylor beat him lol. Taylor had all the tools to beat GGG also. GGG is not a HOF fighter either as of yet with his **** resume. Fake interim title defenses don't count to people that don't **** ride GGG and drink the HBO hype job kool aid.

Personally I think Hopkins won the first fight with Taylor, but remember, styles make fights. Kelly Pavlik, remember him? He knocked out Jermaine Taylor. He was undefeated when he fought Hopkins After Taylor and Hopkins schooled him and took his 0. The opposition Hopkins fought far exceeded GGGs in the 17 title defenses he has so far. Who did GGG fight that was great?? Dominic Wade? Monroe Jr? Curtis Stevens? Limeux? Or Kell Brook the Welterweight who moved up 2 weight classes...and he wasn't "great". GGG has fought all B and C class fighters. This whole GGG hype is ridiculous. Most people on the bandwagon don't know boxing. Abel Sanchez is a big clown as well.

prime Hopkins beats the breaks off GGG. we could've seen GGG against a younger faster version of Hopkins (Ward) and he didn't want those problems.

Marvelous Marvin Hagler. No need to mention the name Hopkins.

It sucks when you gave Two A level fighters, but they happen to be from different eras.

Didn't Hopkins fight Robert Allen 27 times and Antoine Echols a bunch of times as well? And Joe Lipsey,, Hmm if GGG fought those fighters they would criticize him more than they do now even though Allen would have been KO'd and so would have Echols. Safe to say there would be no need for rematches for those title defenses.

If GGG breaks Hopkins record and they are all KO's then Hopkins title run with rematches and boring fights will be less significant. All the Growth Hormone in the world can't overcome that.

When exactly was Hopkin's prime ?

Taylor chased him out of the middleweight division, so that's already point B.
Point A is after he got decked twice by Mercado?

If we're to believe that, then his best wins in this period is Glen Johnson and aging career welters Trinidad and Hoya.

Quite a murderer's row in the middleweight division...

Hopkins showed plenty of vulnerability in his middleweight reign. Mercedo and Allen didn't do much in boxing but they both had Hopkins in trouble. He ran like a thief against a hard puncher in East man. Plenty of nobodies and smaller shots welters like Simon Brown padding him out. But when Golovkin beats Jacobs we will see how good an analysis he did of GGGs style. Remember we're looking for George Foreman in there tonight.
