Beating guys like Wade, rosado, stevens, lemieux is not the same as any of those guys only lemieux held a real belt and that was a paper belt he won vacant the fight before.

The Hopkins that fought Trinidad will have the best shot.

My opinion doesn't matter and neither does yours. He beat him at his own game. 3, 5, 0 punches, doesn't matter, he'll forever own that W over him and Bernard will forever eat his words.

Hopkins didn't need to be in his prime to beat Golovkin.

The old man that beat pascal would have beaten Golovkin. Pascal would beat Golovkin too.

Prime hopkins vs Golovkin would be a joke of a fight, GGG would probably get knocked out.

hopkins fought Mercado twice for the vacant title to begin his reign, so i guess it doesnt count either.....

I agree with B-Hop. I think he neutralizes the aggressive 3G and controls the distance.
That lead right, roll out would get Golovkins respect. I think it's a close fight but the cagey vet pulls it off.

Golovkin beats prime Hop by decision. Hopkins in his prime still had problems with Robert Allen & Antwun Echols, that's why he had to fight them multiple times. Hopkins would slow Golovkin's volume, but not enough that Golovkin would win him too many rounds.

Some of the crap you see on here now... its embarrassing.

Lemiuex-N'jikam for a vacant title was a solid fight. Certainly better than Garcia beating Guerrero for the vacant WBC, or Thurman being upgraded from an interim title won from Soto Karass.

I've yet to see a legitimate argument from someone detailing just how Thurman, Garcia, Brook etc are so much more special than a Jacobs, a Saunders or a Lemieux relatively. I think middleweight is a much stronger division than people make out (stronger than Welterweight certainly), but posters on here are unable to question their assumptions based on name value. Floyd and Manny's division automatically means the division is greater..
