Like PBP said, anyone who's been paying attention knows Ward doesn't negotiate in front of the public and he doesn't buckle to social pressure, ever. Duva is going to have to accept their terms. Whether anyone agrees with the outcome or not, the belts are at Ward's house. Andre went to HBO looking for Kovalev, he took the match against the boogey man, he took away his belts. Now, he's on the throne and he's calling the shots.

you keep saying just wait just wait you are going to look ****** just like last time. except in the contract they are supposd to do testing 4 months before the fight and they haven't even started so ward is in the wrong. the fight should have been made by now. its time to start blasting him for that oh wait you will never do that under any circumstances. typical fanboy. even if the fight gets made tomorrow ward still has broken the rules but you will pretend like that doesnt matter because at least the fight happened. all your favs have to be forced into the ring kicking and screaming. dont you find that a little odd? when they finally do get in the ring you pretend like its the greatest thing ever. thats what they are supposed to do! you are so used to giving them passes.

You can't make this up ward hasn't attempted to negotiate even roc nation has said this it's why there isn't a fight set 5 months later. They been trying to get June but ward is mute and you know this why you defending a scared boy? and check the post where it says terms for a rematch were already agreed before the first fight which was also in favor for ward.

Redd Foxx I always respect your opinion, but you must not have seen the full info on this. There is nothing to negotiate. The terms for the rematch, in the event Ward won, were already agreed to as part of the sweetheart deal Kovalev gave Ward for the first fight. Part of that agreement was the immediate rematch under set terms, with a modest pay increase for the winner I assume.

The problem is now Ward is trying to take the beneficial aspects of the original contract and run away with them, while ignoring the parts he doesn't like, even though the only reason he got everything he wanted for the first fight was because he also gave Kovalev a few things he wanted, like the rematch terms already set in stone. But somehow Ward thinks only the aspects of contracts that benefit him are binding, while his obligations in contracts to other parties are not binding. It's a selfish, deluded, almost sociopathic mindset.

I know that is a strong word, but with this being a pattern now with Ward stemming back to the lawsuits against Goosen over and over even though the contracts were lawful, combined with Ward's actions constantly contradicting what he says, it truly does make it seem like everything about this man is fake and that he simply manipulates everyone in a sociopathic way, including lying to himself constantly without even realizing it, and constructing this totally deluded reality in his head where he is always this persecuted victim, when in actual reality, he is the one constantly breaking his word and using other people, all the while lying to everyone about it including himself.

And then after Goosen died, ThunderDome has reported rumors that Ward's manager James Prince had unscrupulous people pressure and possibly threaten Goosen's family to let Ward out of the contract, even though it was a legitimate contract. If true, then Kovalev is right about Team Ward not being the good guys they market themselves as.

As I said to the guy above, rematches still get negotiated. The clause does not dictate all the terms. There is still a lot of give and take and without being on conference call with these people, we simply don't know what's going on. I won't claim to know what's going on between them.
