Yes it would.I dont know if you noticed but Barrera fights very tactically latey. He was in some exchanges last night because Juarez was being very aggressive and all over him so he had to engage in some exchanges. Have you seen any of Marquez fights besides the Pac fight? He is very tactical and boring to watch. Marquez has been extra boring after the Pac fight too, he seems frightened to exchange. So both are tactical fighters. I think it will be a boring fight. Might be intense just because the people who are in the ring, but i think the fight will be boring.

I have to hand it to you on Barrera last night, he did fight very tactical and behind the jab. Juarez hurt him several times and you can see by looking at them who took the beating.

I love Juarez's style and I thought he at least deserved a draw; I just remember thinking when Barrera was coming in that he looked extremely sheepish. I didn'tknow whether or not he was just humbled by the huge crowd cheering for him or whether there was something up.

I have seen about 2 dozen of Marquez's fights and he lights it up when the chances are there. Not pushing it against the likes of Orlando Salido I cannot understand, though. Perhaps you're right, both guys are coming towards the end of their time and fight with a much more guarded style. I would serve them well I find, look at Morales, all balls and no brains and he almost got himself wrecked by Pacquiao.
Yeah, I noticed him and Oscar sitting near eachother but I didnt pay enough attention to them to see if they were together or side by side.

My question is how does he get a fight with Soto, MAB, or anyone else? Didnt he just lose big to a nobody and had to result to throwing a bunch of low blows?
watch the fight kid........**** wasnt even close even with the 2 point deduction on bs low blows.

Well Marquez indeed made some bad decissions that damaged his career but I do believe he deserves another chance.

How ever I don't think he'll be pitted against MAB, Pacquiao or other big names too soon. Not until he fights and wins against the likes of Sotto, Joan Guzman or maybe Rocky Juarez. After a loss against Cris John he needs to get a win or two before he gets noticed by the crowd again.

It's just not a good business decision to feature JMM in a main event at the moment.

JMM deserves a big fight after all he has done in his career.I understand that the loss to Johns was legit. He made a little over 100K for the fight with John if I'm correct. He's coming to the end of his career and deserves a big payday.

                My Boy Marquez

I spoke to my boy Marquez this afternoon. Just to let you all know, he is continuing to train very hard for his second fight this year which will be in July at the COUSHATA, I will reveal the name at a later time, let me make sure it is ok with him before I say too much. I do know that he is committed to taking on a couple of smaller fights/venues as he is preparing for a come-back of scale. By the way he was enjoying himself with family and close friends. No alcohol for the boy, I can assure you all he is serious.

He told me Chico Corrales was there too with little baby in hand.

Nah man, not to my knowledge, but I believe Vanes got a mention on ESPN this week, Wednesday or Friday.
