Ali vs. Tyson: Who is more overrated among them?

    Ali vs. Tyson:

    1. Who is more overrated?

    2. Who had better resume, peak, prime, longetivity and legacy?

      1. Tyson
      2. Does this really need answered? Tysons peak lasted for 4 years max. Ali fought at the highest level for 15 years or so. He also fought the better opposition like liston, Frazier, Norton and foreman. The best names on tysons resume beat him.

Ali beat everyone so how can he be overated?

Even bruce Lee saw him as great. So you can't get a higher recommendation than him.

I don't think either of them were overrated. Both were very good at their best. Ali was at his best before he was forced out of boxing over refusing to gone the army after he was drafted. His speed and skill was amazing. He was better than any version of Tyson. Tyson had some quit in him when things didn't go well. Ali was dead game. Tyson was unstable with uneven performances. Ali was always cool and calm but he didn't train hard enough for a few of his fights. As for longevity the were about the same. They were both great at a very young age and past their best in their early to mid 30s. That's the way I remember them anyway.

Tyson was rated right around where he should have been. Ali was way overrated. Fixed fights with Liston is what put him on the map. People forget that Ali was a big Heavyweight for his day at 6'3". He towered over a lot of his opponents. He got gifts against Chuvalo, Young, and Norton. He actually got schooled by Norton who wasn't a great boxer, just a great student of Eddie Futch. Had to pull some dirty tactics to beat Cooper, and if he were a welterweight fighting with that style he would have been KTFO leaning back from punches with his hands at his sides.

Tyson would be seen the way Ali is seen if he had fought back then.

                    Tyson by far.

In a nutshelll ali beat every great fighter of his generation when he was close to his prime or near his prime
Tyson lost to every great fighter of his generation and really had a very short prime.
                    Ali beat foreman,liston,frazier
                    Tyson lost to lewis,holyfield,douglas
