    Golovkin vs Jacobs ticket sales

I know Im not supposed to start a new thread about this fight but was just hoping to get a quick answer if ticket sales are good and if it will be a sell out?

Im seeing a good bit of casual fans talking about GGG.

80%+ of the tickets are sold ATM but we don't know the exact amount yet. We'll find out after the fight.

No, it's not a sellout but it's selling well considering that the prices were at least the double of GGG-Lemieux.

The final gate, I estimate will be between 3 and 4 millons. Maybe 4. That's my estimation.

Where are the people defending Jacobs' asking price? That Jacobs is no Monroe or Dominic Wade? That tickets will be sold out? Fight is made, and they're singing a different tune like fight should not have been made.

thanks. I hope it ends up selling out. I feel like there is a good bit of "buzz" for this fight.

We don't know if 80% of the tickets have been sold. You keep throwing this BS guess by you around like it's fact. All we know is there is a significant amount of tickets that are still available on ticketmaster and almost no chance this fight will sell out. When and if K2 releases the live gate figures on sat night we will know exactly how many of those tickets on ticketmaster were ACTUALLY sold and how many have already been Comp'd and given away for free.

If K2 does like they did in the Wade fight were numerous reports of them just giving away free tickets so they lied and said the fight was a sell out on fight night but never released the live gate figures something NO PROMOTER would do if you actually sold all your tickets.

Yup you already hearing the excuses lined well they are doing well considering they doubled Lemieux fight price what you really mean is Lemieux had cheap tickets! They increased the price in tickets to comparable but still less then what PPV stars charge. And now GGG having problems selling them. They also almost DOUBLED the price it cost to make this PPV compared to Lemieux fight. A PPV that flopped. There is a very high likelihood this PPV loses money. Weak ticket sales, the 24/7 for the fight pulled in terrible ratings for HBO and everyone in NY is talking about the NCAA tournament not this fight.

I believe GGG-Jacobs tickets are more expensive than Canelo-Smith tickets, which were $111 on average ($5 millions reported Gate divided by 45k tickets sold.

Canelo/Smith sold 51,000 of them and filled up a football stadium. If it wasn't in a football stadium they would of increased the prices you idiot. GGG is in a small basketball arena that holds max 20,000 and this is billed as GGG's biggest fight of his career something the Smith fight wasn't billed as for Canelo. Smith is a no name never fought in the US similar to bum no name Wade who GGG fought last year. Difference is Canelo fighting no names STILL produces a bigger live gate then GGG fighting his biggest fight of his career. LMAO

Funny how you comparing Jacobs fight to Canelo's Smith fight rather then his Chavez fight which just sold out in days with 2 months to spare before the PPV and no undercard announced in a comparable size venu as GGG/Jacobs. Once again trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes. Tell us again how selling UK PPVs for 15 bucks is just like selling PPVs in the US for 70 bucks is the same? Dude get over it there is no comparison Canelo is the bigger draw in every way and it's NOT close. just admit it and keep moving you embarrass yourself and real GGG fans when you do this funny math tilting the boards just so GGG still loses to Canelo even with the most laughable extremes you conjure up.

                    From the Fat Dan chat:

                    Brian (NYC)

                    Does MSG sellout this Saturday?

Dan Rafael, King Fight Freak (1:04 PM)

K2 says they are very close right now so by tomorrow night it will either be a clean sellout of just a few tickets left.
