Its because Mayweather was the bigger man and is the bigger puncher and has more skills than Barrera. But Erik Morales in the other hand is an another story. He's 5'8 1/2 against Mayweather, so he will be in striking distance and is within is range in height to keep Floyd off him, and Erik's ability to adjust to any situation be it a fire fight or a chessmatch would be a factor too. And They sparred one time and Morales whooped his ass.
The Morales that faced Manny the first fight would have gotten stopped by Floyd. One reason: Morales lost all faculty when he got hit and left himself open to shots. It's the reason Manny was able to so dominantly beat him in the second and third fights.

Floyd's whole M.O. is to piss his opponent off so they make mistakes, then tag the hell out of them.

Morales was tailor made for PBF. It would have gone down almost the same way as Mayweather/Marquez, with more punches thrown from both guys.

So, you think a world class fighter should be focused on 'winning' and 'getting it done' in sparring?

          Ok, thanks.
