If this fight was 2014, even 2015 I'd be with you but that guy has done jack **** since the cuadras fight ( I haven tseen it so wont comment on it). His last 2 opponents were debutants lol
How the **** does he get a shot at RGs title above just about any other worthy challenger out there at the weight? Ridiculous stuff.
Cuadras is at least fighting a guy who has fought at the world level recently and showed grit and determination against Naoya.

nope sorry not watching,i refuse to support this guy until he steps up and starts fighting the killers in his weightclass
Srisaket Sor Rungvisai has been ranked top five since 2013 in his victory over Yota Sato he became #2. @ Jr. Bantam-weight if you guys need for me to explain who he is then I understand why you rate his victor ( Rungvisai) so low ; only Kohei Kono ( defeated by Yota) , Carlos Cuadras and McJoe Arroyo have been ranked top ten this long : Inoue, Yafai, Concepcion have just entered and won/lost titles about a year or two ago.
If you understood the Thai match making system his recent opponents would be no surprise for example : Rungvisai won his title in 2013 that same year he fought three more times, in none of those fights did he defend his title in one he was fighting a guy coming off a debut. Its like Danny Garcia fighting a Salka it doesn't mean he diminished as a fighter. Regardless of his previous opponents his only 'L' to Cuadras is questionable - not bad considering Carlos went on to give the #1. P4P a hell of fight.
All i can say is that everyone ive seen who follows the lower weights, across 2 forums i post on, acknowledges this is a tough fight for RG. Certainly tougher than Cuadras' opponent
That means **** to me tbh. You said Williams was some top level fighter right? What did I say to you about Williams?
Now don't get me wrong, it could end up being a competitive fight but that would tell us more about RG than his opponent.
Feels like Roman hasn't looked the same since the Viloria fight, I don't think the guy has a lot of time left on top. I think super Flyweight is a little too much for the guy.
To give you guys more clarity on Rungvisai's resume and the random Thai system of match-making : His first official professional bout was vs. Akira Yaegashi -- who is Yaegashi ? he went on to become lineal @ 112 two weight champion and is the current IBF LFW champion @ 108 ; furthermore Rungvisai AKA ( Wisaksil Wangek) reportedly was 8-3 (3) coming into his pro debut. I reiterate the Thai system is very chaotic. Nobody really knows his real record he may be 50 + fights in.
Congratulations on getting one prediction right. I guess that makes you the boxing doyen for all eternity
You havent even watched these guys fight, why should anyone take you seriously in this discussion?
Who haven't I watched fight?
And no, I'm just telling you how you keep bigging up these no names/has beens/never beens. Gonzalez is fighting a guy who has not fought a decent level of comp in years and his last 2 opponents were debutants. I'm not saying the guy is necessarily bad or was never good, I'm saying he is not a worthy title challengers and considering how high RG is being rated by some, is not worthy of being in a ring with him.

Thems the facts.
You didnt watch Rungvisai vs Cuadras so which which fights of his did you watch?
Looks to me like you are boxrec warrioring because you dont know the fighters or properly follow the lower weights.
Everyone who follows the lower weights knows this is a tough fight. If you have watched Cuadras vs RG and Cuadras vs Srisaket, you will know this is a tough fight. Just based on styles and natural weight its a tough fight, but then factor in RG seems to be coming to the end of his prime as well.

They don't understand how it works down here, they might of had a problem when : Estrada got a shot at unified champion Brian Viloria after Gonzalez beat him we all know how that worked out for Estrada moving into the P4P rankings or Akira Yaegashi grinding throughout his early career taking an L vs. Ioka then bounced a fight later and beat lineal #1. Toshiyuki Igarashi. John Riel Casimero knocking out Luis Alberto Lazarte but just before that Casimero was TKO by Moruti Mthalane then took another L vs. Amnat yet still came back and knocked him out in the rematch. How about Concepcion a few months back resurrecting his career beating Kono...McWilliams Arroyo getting robbed in Thailand vs. Amnat then getting a crack at Chocolatito.
So many more examples and great fights may I add, for us that know whats going on we cant help to appreciate the initial weights for the lack of politics and sportsmanship...meanwhile these guys at the higher weight need to wait a couple years to see the fights they want right now.
