lemiuex was outboxing ggg easily until ggg hit him with that illegal punch when he took a knee. that punch ****** the life out of him and he never recovered.

From my observation of David Lemieux vs Curtis Stevens? the fight was competitive up until the knock-out! where as in comparison...Gennady Golovkin vs Curtis Steven's was not competitive at all! sometimes quick knock-outs don't really prove who is the better boxer overall, we only have to remember back to Lennox Lewis vs Hasim Rahman II...(Lennox Lewis made Hasim Rahman look levels below him!)....

Fair play, David Lemieux has power, and i like power! but what else does he have in copious amounts? in every other arsenal department he is average/satisfactory....

I also believe that Lemieux possesses more explosive power than GGG. That being said, one does NOT simply win a boxing match by power alone. Lemieux lost to GGG because Golovkin is a smarter, better technical fighter. If Lemieux ever face GGG again, he would have to completely change his strategic approach in fighting GGG. He would NOT win a pure boxing contest against GGG but he COULD win a slugfest. Consequently, if he is capable of slugging it out with Golovkin, he cold potentially nail him since GGG is very hittable. He cannot allow GGG to dictate the pace of the fight with his jab like he did the first time. Lemieux must have a better timing in charging him. By the way, Lemieux would beat Canelo or Saunders.

I think he could beat Canelo for sure. Saunders may out point him if he can stay away from Lemieux's power. Not sure about Saunders though I've only seem him fight a few times.

It proves he is wrong because he couldnt hurt Golovkin and Golovkin destroyed him. DESTROYED. He can't say he has more power just cause he knocked out Stevens and GGG didn't. When they fought, who was shook????? GGG didnt seem bothered with Lemieux power. But on the other side, GGG had lemiuex doing the stanky leg

The only thing that proves is that GGG is not just a power puncher but a good boxer, his boxing skillz set him apart from Lemiuex that day, That's why he destroyed him, when you got both Boxing Skillz and Power you become a very complete and a force to be reckoned on the boxing game.

I honestly think Lemiuex has more 1 punch KO power, mostly of that left hook.

Did that come in play when both fought and GGG destroyed David? not at all.

If you see Golovkin is the kind of guy that wears you down, he ends up punishing round after round, non stop pressure, nice combinations and of course he is heavy handed if not he wouldn't be stopping guys, but he's not the Mike Tyson One punch Power like Lemiuex.

Of course based on what I've seen David has that nasty left hook but GGG has a nasty power jab, both hooks, uppers, overhands and even some weird punches that come down from upside.

Conclusion:
Sure, Lemieux has more power than GGG but GGG has more variety on his game and is a far more superior boxer.
GGG>>>>Lemieux.

And this explains why Canelo beats Lemiuex

well, possibly. I wouldn't know, but looks to me like Lemiux has concussive power and GGG is super heavy handed, slower. I don't see why not

GGG takes a better punch though.

Really, is not that hard. Another example: Mattyhysse looks like has has more power than Garcia, but Garcia takes a better shot.
