His resume would have boasted wins over Sturm and Martinez in their backyards.

However, he did get robbed. Ever since then he has been in decline. He has never reached those performance levels since and has looked like trash on several occasions. His career doesn't really have any direction to it now and it appears he's lost the ambition, treats boxing as a source of income now. Could see him being lined up as an opponent for one of the British Super Middleweight champions but he'll just be making up the numbers.
I agree. The Martinez fight was a massive robbery. The ref was totally in on it too. There should have been at least one knockdown for Murray which would have changed the fight completely and given him the victory.

But you're right. That was his peak, and he was never the same afterwards. Especially mentally.

The unfortunate part for fighters like Murray, those hard luck losers, is you can only take so many controversial losses before they take a toll and your confidence drops. Look what happened to Maurcio Herrera. It's the same situation.

Lemieux has more gifts than Murray. He's got quicker hands and has great punching power, which alone gives him a fighters chance in fights. Something that Murray doesn't have that.

If LeMew and Murray are terrific fighters, your standards are verrrrrrrrrrrrry low, or are you just trying to over inflate their skills because it fits your agenda (g string victims)?

Why not? I dont think that both guys are so talented. Both of them are good fighting against GGG but eventually lost! They are fighters at the capacity to beat each other. Especially I want Murray to fight against Arthur Abraham but rematch fight was canceled.
