I don't think it's bad if people see it for what it is, just a money making racket. I don't blame them for doing it because it makes them huge money but that's all it's about. The fight in boxing terms is a joke.

I'm a Mayweather fan and will probably buy it because of the event and not because I'm a fan of Mayweather. I don't care if he wins or loses. I just want to see the event and I can afford to order it and would rather watch it live than to hear about it on the news or on this website. I can't afford to go to Vegas and pay for the tickets, but ordering this PPV event is not going to keep me from paying the mortgage or any other bills. I agree with Roy that it shouldn't hurt boxing. An event like this could probably bring in more money than the May v. Pac fight. I think Floyd may not be asking for enough money because he may make more in this fight than he did for the Pac fight. And McGregor should be able to get way more than $15mil for the fight. For me, this fight may have me, as well as others become fans of UFC or at least give it a shot. I don't watch it and I'm not interested in it, but this may draw me towards it. And the same may go for fans of UFC who don't watch boxing. This can also create more crossover fights. One's that are more competitive. After this fight, it would be great if someone like Khan, who says he is willing to do both, would sign a 2 fight contract with someone from the UFC where one fight would be under the boxing rules and the other under the UFC rules. But in order to get to that point, Mayweather v. McGregor has to happen and it has to be a success.

that is absurd, and White knows it

that is an absurd low-ball, intended to kill the fight
that is just as ridiculous as Eubank wanting to control the promotion with Hearn..... maybe even more so, so it will be amusing to see the tards flip-flop on that one
that would have to be a Mayweather promotion, with McGregor/UFC receiving a cut..... and White knows it
