Floyd needs to pay the man what he is worth..... McGregor will either have to split his purse with the UFC, or he will have to pay for the consequential lawsuit..... either way, that is Floyd's problem just as much as it is McGregor's..... that has to be considered/resolved in order for the fight to proceed
and unlike the situation with Canelo/Golovkin, McGregor is a HUGE superstar in his own right..... Mayweather cannot generate anywhere near that kind of revenue without him..... on the other hand, Canelo will likely sell just as many PPV's with Chavez as he will with Golovkin

I love Roy but I think he's contradicting himself. He's saying it's great for boxing yet says MMA fighters are a "jack of all trades". A non-competitive fight against someone who probably is only marginally better than the worst amateur boxer brings degrades a sport steeped in history, and we're going to make a mockery of that so Mayweather can earn an easy payday?

In a boxing match McGregor will be toyed by Mayweather and I for one think that for both fighters to get their "fair shake", there should be 2 contracted bouts in place, 1 boxing match and another UFC match maybe a few months apart.
