HBO crew seemed to be banking on a Stevens win based on their attitudes. They looked for every reason to praise Stevens and criticize Lemieux until the knockout. It had the vibe of a funeral when he won.

It's nice to see Lampley off-air giving a more honest assessment of things.

He couldn't even KO old man Cotto. He won't be able to hurt Lemeuix

I noticed this. "lemeuix is running out of gas" like the entire first 2 rounds. As lemeuix was throwing the jab and landing literally at will...

Cotto is not a one dimensional slugger. Lemeuix can only fight one way. Canelo loves when fighters come at him so he can counter.

He knocked out an undersized, glorified and overachieving Middleweight who was also a journeyman. So what else is new? David Lemieux was the favorite going in anyway because he had more natural ability than Curtis Stevens to begin with.

This forum is funny.

1. Lemieux is at best just OK fighter. ( because he was stopped by GGG)
2. Andrade is dangerous prospect ( because he beat superstar Culcay).
3. Jacobs is elite ( because he never lost, he never even fought anybody good).

I hardly expect next weekend.
