I don't think he did it for an advantage. I think he just really can't make MW anymore and needs to move up so SMW. Huge weight gains don't help strength and/or stamina anyway. He's just too big for MW.

Look at the weigh-in and look at his soft body you cant even see a six pack he got 4lb of flab on his belly , he don't train right and if he did he would make 154 ripped and looking like an elite athlete.

        He didn't know

He's avoided it because he will already be around 175, this guy makes weight poorly and gains way too much afterwards. He's not even rehydrating, he's just piling on a ***** ton of weight.

You cannot put on anything but water weight in 24 hrs .

Didn't he have issues with weight before? Probably walking 175 now.

There's a difference between dehydrated and simple restoration.

Some guys make it by completely dehydrating (those are the guys that look like *****), Lemieux never looks remotely dehydrated. Others make it via actual weight cutting and carb depletion; from that state huge calories, carb loading, glycogen restoration, etc...will see weight pile on. Lemieux takes that to an extreme.

Ask yourself..... Why would anyone care about a regional POS belt??
There's too many belts as it is so that belt means nothing!

Could be, he wasn't as cut as normal, but still got the job done. I'd give him an A+ for the evening. Nobody flattened Curtis like that before. But he still needs to decide which division he's in... if he keeps having weight/weigh-in issues. Or like you say, train better.

That's the thing - Stevens couldn't, because he was still playing by the rules that were set out in the agreement. Lemieux decided to forego that and give up a trinket to remove the weight limit clause for himself, and not communicate anything.

                    Bottom line is, it's a b1tch move.

I don't understand how so many people are cool with this. I don't have a dog in this race so I really didn't care who won (I did pick Lemieux by KO after I found out he skipped the second weigh in) Then I hear it took Stevens an hour to become responsive at the hospital it pisses me off. This was a premeditated move by Lemieux to gain an advantage. First he said he didn't know about the second day weigh in. He's the former IBF champ so we know that's a lie. Then he said he never had any intention to fight for the regional belt. OK that's cool but inform the other party so they can make the decision if they want to follow the rehydration rule or not
