The reality is, Mayweather never beat a single genuinely great fighter that you could say was in his prime. The best fighter he fought who was in his prime was probably Jose Luis Castillo, and most people consider them 1-1.
He beat lineal champs do you know what that means .

      Mayweather The Greatest?

      Absolutely Not!

Mayweather would have never beaten Sugar Ray Leonard at 147, Duran at 130, or even Alexis Arguello or the Hawk Aaron Pryor at 140.

Jose Luis Castillo beat him in the first fight and the same did Maidana. Mayweather never even fought Paul Williams (the reason - the reach), not to mention Margarito (I can give that one to Mayweather if he had insight information about dirty hand wraps). Mayweather fought Berto, geeez to get the same record as Marciano.

Mayweather is an excellent boxer. Maybe one of the highest IQ in boxing of all times, but not even near the Greatest.

Sugar Ray Robinson will always be the greatest fighter ever in the history of boxing. I like Floyd but he is nowhere near the best of all times. I respect Floyd but to me he is nowhere near the best. There were fighters in the past that would not stop coming and Floyd really has no power and couldn't keep many off of him!!
He could beat many champions and there is doubting that; but there are also many that would beat him.

There is no way he could beat Sugar Ray Robinson or Sugar Ray Leonard or Thomas Hearns or Roberto Duran; and he would be hard pressed to beat Felix Trinidad and a young Oscar Delahoya or Wilfred Benitez.

Now I think he could beat Jose Napoles or Curtis Cokes but fighters like Emile Griffith and Benny Kid Paret or Kid Gavilan would have beaten my boy too and I am a Floyd fan for sure; but I know the history of boxing and boxers. I would have like to see him against a young Shane Mosley and a young Zab Judah.

Floyd is great but far from tbe..

Ray Leonard craps all over Floyd's resume,,, so does ray robinson, Ali, Armstrong, Greb, Langford, and a host of others..

'If he tells people he's the greatest then he's not the greatest'. Firstly, Ali as someone alluded too. Secondly, he's in England on tour and he's being PAID by the fans to tell them how great he is, take the context into account. Lastly, Floyds resume speaks volumes take a look again to refresh your memories. Don't you ever forget the 'Hit List'.

He's the best Boxer technically there is on film. Appreciate the man, acknowledge his great career & let's not wait until his brain resembles mash potato before we give him his dues.

Floyd knows he's not tbe and he knows nobody genuinely thinks he is.
But floyd has surpassed his own expectations. He never thought he'd retire undefeated.
