He meant that "come to my manager with fair terms and the fight will be easy to make."

Not "call my manager and lowball the Fook out of me; I don't care what I bring to the fight, we'll fight anyone anytime for peanuts (in comparison to what I bring to the fight."

15 mil is not low enough to not play that segment back to him.

he will not get that $$$ anywhere else.

      • What a boxer's guarantee/PPV split should be based on, is pretty straightforward:

What is the fighter bringing to the table for this fight, and based off him being in the promotion, how much will it add to the salability of the fight?

Or - "how many asses in seats, and eyeballs on television sets is this fighter going to bring towards this particular fight"?

In the case of GGG regarding a fight with Canelo, well, there is a clear A-side, and that is definitely Canelo.

However, GGG is in the unique situation of NOT being a typical B-side "opponent." He is an "A-minus side," if you will.

So there we have it: GGG 35%/Canelo 65%. SIMPLE. DONE.

EVERY fighter in recent memory has had to take a low offer to gain more in fights later on down the line. Floyd took less vs. DLH, canelo took less vs Floyd, canelo even took less vs Cotto, I don't think canelo wound up with even 15 million after either of those fights tbh. Gaylovekin has a **** resume, and you defend it, but jump on Floyd, a FIVE division champ and ATG...man you are a serious ****ing hypocrite, let me know when gaylovekin actually grows ballz and is willing to move up 1 or God forbid 2 divisions.

I understand that. But the man has 3/4 of the major belts. Let's not act like that doesn't mean anything. You need to come correct with this offer. Until Oscar tells us exactly what he's offered I'm not taking him seriously.

People seem to forget canelo said "messicans don't **** around" and then proceeded to do just that. That's what I call a duck

If I had to guess, it's prolly the same old tired offer from months ago we already heard about - GGG a flat fee of 15 million, with no cut of the PPV sales.

This is an insult for the magnitude of this fight, and how much GGG brings to the table in the salability of this fight.

Canelo ducked ggg already and the burden of proof is on the man who handed over his belt without a fight like a coward. Any low life here who thinks GGG is ducking that coward truly is a special person.

but, Canelo is the undisputed middleweight champ of the universe

its not like Canelo offered to pay him 65k or anything

Canelo can't sell anywhere close to the amount he could with GGG either, so it swings both ways.

Well, unless he got a Floyd rematch, or Pac fight.

Maybe Cotto II, but since that is a 50/50 type of fight, I doubt Canelo would make what he could against GGG, with a 60-70% cut.
