Bob Arum doesn't do business with anyone that isn't open and willing to bend to the wishes of Bob Arum; it's been the case for years, and it's not going to change for Arum at 80 years old.

Arum was on board with making Pacquiao-Horn even in Australia, be cause Horn's camp was willing to sign to Arum, Horn's camp went abut scrounging up some money, and Pacquiao was going to head into the fight and basically take all of the money for himself. The Pacquiao-Khan talks were immediately rocky, even without the concerns of whether the UAE money was legit, because it was a situation where Arum would literally control almost none of the outcomes.

The Haymon side of the fence is in the position where there's enough money and talent on their end that the "allure of fighting Manny Pacquiao" isn't all that great, even less so when considering that Bradley isn't much of a draw yet Arum is likely expecting the same considerations.

The reality being what it is, it makes no sense to acknowledge a situation that would have no chance of turning into fights

If Timothy Bradley was NOT with Arum today. If he was a free agent or with any other promoter, he would have fought about 5 names in around the WW division. The Mayweather, Bertos, Thurman, Khan , Garcia etc would definitely be in play.

why was big fights in the past were able to be made, and arum was promoting those fights.

Pacquiao was only able to fight Mayweather because the money on the fight ended up getting so big that Arum was finally willing to "hurry up and sit" for a fight; Floyd controlled the presentation, Floyd controlled the media coverage, Floyd led the talks for the UK deal, Floyd led the talks for the Mexico TV deal, Floyd controlled the sponsors, etc, with the only aspect that Top Rank controlled being the Philippine TV (which was really just about Pacquiao finding out where the money).

Arum got ~40% of the final take (on a fight that generated $700m) and sat seething threw the whole thing.

When Arum is the one, calling the shot and dictating terms, he'll make any and every fight that there is to make. When Arum is the one being dictated to, he turns into a punk

They not there because he didn't fight WWs without having weight conditions, right now the last proper WW Manny fought was a shot 154 Margarito that was boiled down to 150 for a BS 154 title and that was 7 yrs ago , since then every fight is a JWW brought up to somewhere in the WW range.

Manny don't fight WWs I been saying it for yrs, he will not fight Brook Spence or Thurman at the full 147 limit.
