I agree. Another thing is how long fighters last these days. Less fights and smarter training are factors but it's hard not to suspect that PEDs don't play a role in it.

Either one could be true, but maybe Pac and Floyd just had more desire and trained longer, harder and smarter than their competition
That's nonsense. These are all pro boxers and aint no way they made it to the top without hard work and dedication. There's a point where training harder and longer = overtraining.

At that point, the genetically superior will stay a cut above the rest. It's like comparing Usain Bolt and other athletes. If you gonna stand there and try to tell us that he isn't genetically superior to his competition then you're gonna have to tell us what brand of cool aid you're drinking.

Yes, talent can only take you so far without hard work and discipline, but conversely, hard work and discipline can only take you so far without that raw talent. If a guy who is more talented than you trains just as much as you, then you're gonna lose at least 9 out of 10 times. It's common sense.

It's like, there's a reason Pepe is a centre back and Ronaldo is a winger. No matter how hard Pepe trains and how smart he trains, he can never be as fast as Ronaldo, leap into the air like Ronaldo, or do 10 step overs in three seconds like Ronaldo, or shoot from near the centre circle and score like Ronaldo.

At some point it comes down to genetics. This should be common sense.

Examine athletes like Lebron, Phelps or Bolt vs Floyd. Those guys are genetically favored in terms of body type to excel in their sports. What has been discovered about Floyd that sets him apart?
You can say Floyd is genetically superior but it's just speculation unless you have some proof, some facts, which means something that can be measured.
Just show measurable proof that Mayweather is genetically superior (body type, reflexes, VO2 max etc.) otherwise it's just opinion. When you say "it's just common sense" without any proof, that's another way of saying "I can't prove what I'm saying, but trust me."

Dude I'm South African but even I know that Sports Science did a study on Mayweather and it was determined that he by far has the fastest reflexes and eye co-ordination to any boxer out there. He also has a long reach for a welterweight and his his pull counter is a thing of genetic superiority. Name one fighter who pull his head back like that to avoid a punch and then literally leap off of the back foot and into the air, land a straight right, and then duck under the counter and move away, all in one movement, in a mere second or less.

No matter how hard you train you won't pull that move off the way he does, not even Ali's pull counter was that insane.

It's the same with Roy Jones. The things he did, you don't even need anything beyond the eye test. The fact that no other fighter was doing the things that he did was evidence enough. That guy's fighting style was ridiculous and any other fighter, in their prime, who tried to do all that ridiculous stuff would have been KTFO.

You're just in denial bro. This is as clear as daylight. Pac and Floyd were genetically superior. Some things you can't teach, you either got it or you don't.

Great! Now all you have to do is give the Sports Science information and you have evidence. An example of that would be "Study shows FM with reflexes and coordination superior to other boxers" Journal of Sports Science, Jan. 2017, pgs 25-30.
That's just an example but I hope you get the idea. It's not rocket science, it's just statements that are provable. If you can do that great otherwise it's just opinion.
