Guess so, I thought it was only for title fights. imo I would say consider taking the 25% as a lick, win the fight, and then find yourself making 75% of purse bids.

They put up a purse bid and ME won. That's how much money is available. No one else is going to be putting up more. So he should just take the fight and hope to win. When he fights for the title, he'll get a much bigger payday.
