Why agree to the fight then back out saying I didn't sign no contract. If he wasn't happy with the 62K he should have said no at the purse bid there and then.

$62k isn't much, but he might not get another payday for the first half of the year and even then it'll probably be about that much when he does.

Barrera's over-valuing himself for the Ward & Shabransky fights. LHW is not that hot of a division and he's not that big of a name. The IBF will drop him in their ratings.

They put up a purse bid and ME won. That's how much money is available. No one else is going to be putting up more. So he should just take the fight and hope to win. When he fights for the title, he'll get a much bigger payday.
