Well Chavez has a better chance than both khan and beefy did combined because those 2 literally had 0 chance of beating Canelo. The belief that Chavez has any kind of shot is based on the assumption that he can do something he hasn't shown himself capable of doing in 5 yrs, which is to take training seriously, make weight easily and be an active/aggressive puncher. It has the same likelihood of us ever seeing the aggressive dynamic version of pac we saw vs cotto yrs ago. Not likely.

This fight at 164 just solidifies everyone's belief that Canelo's team has no confidence in their cash cows ability. There is no question that when he handed his middleweight title to GGG instead of fighting him had nothing to do with weight as his handlers implied. In my mind Canelo is a media generated superstar who has cherry picked opponents put in front of him. He fought Mayweather and got totally controlled and unless GGG starts showing diminshed skills he'll never fight him. Since GGG is older I expect they'll try and catch him on the down slide and then if he wins start pounding their chests like it could of happened at anytime. Baloney! I'm rooting for Chavez in this one!!!
