^^^^^^^^^^^^ maybe one punch promotions need to learn to put their promotions together better, couldn't agree more with the above statement, that's plenty of time, just another slowing tactic by fishnets promotions

Ha ha ha. Yeah. Anyways just took the time to check promotion times (aside from the Garcia - Thurman fight that One Punch mentioned) and it's a bit of a mix. Canelos 3 biggest money fights were Floyd (apx 3.5 months), Cotto (slightly over 4 months) and Khan (3 months and a few days) so you may have something of a point... probably 4 months would be preferred, but if you add the potential extra strap into the equation making the fight for all the marbles at 160 (including the lineal) and brand it 'undisputed' it could make up for the difference. Swings and roundabouts I guess. All I'm saying is that it's doable.

EDIT: Course, I can see Gomez' point as well. If they had to wait til early June to make sure Golovkin wins it would leave Nelo scant time to find a quality replacement in time for Mid September ... certainly a backup plan would be necessary, though I can easily see how they'd prefer to push Golovkin back to May 2018.

GGG isn't fighting Saunders in September though, you dumb f@gg0t.
September 2017 is what Canelo and GBP have been saying this whole time.
There's no way to spin this.
Canelo ducked TWICE last year. He's not fighting GGG in May this year and now they are backing away from the September 2017 date that they've been saying all this time.

All Canelo has to do is what he's done his last 3 fights. Stand in the ring post fight and talk a bunch of fake tough guy **** and say he's not scared and he'll fight GGG right now lol
That was supposed to be enough to hype the fight the last 3 times he's ducked GGG. Wonder why it's different now?

If there's 2 offers on the table and you can only have one, which one do you choose? The biggest fight in the sport for $15 mil or Saunders for $2/3 mil?

              Take the real offer.
Not the "offer" from the f@gg0ts who just talk and then choose to fight somebody else.
There was no "offer" for last May or September. No "offer" for May this year. GBP already backing away from the "offer" for this September.
15 million dollar "offers" written on hot air.
              Stay dumb

I'm sure they can have contracts drawn up and signed, all Golovkin has to do is accept.

Gomez b*tching now about GGG fighting before September leaves no doubt they have some bull**** in that "offer" that says GGG can only fight 1 time before September. That's why they wanted him to sign in January.
If it's all drawn up and signed and Canelo wants the fight, why didn't they "offer" it for May?
GGG was ready to fight last May and September, all Canelo had to do was accept. Canelo ducked both times, vacated his MIDDLEWEIGHT title and he's fighting someone else at 164.5lbs in May. Keep eating **** on that. There is no way you can spin it.
GGG KO's Jacobs in March, Saunders in June, Canelo in September(unless Canelo ducks AGAIN) and IBF mandatory Derevyanchenko in December. There's your 2017 Fighter of the Year.

The offer is there, if they choose another fight it's on Golovkin. You can't spin this any other way. It will be a duck.

                      Again, you dumbass.
It's not choosing another fight. He's not fighting Saunders in September. He's fighting Saunders in June.
