yeah why fight on date that is proven will maximize your profits that's just ******. Should just fight on a random Wed night for a fraction of the money instead. SMH

Golovkin is old. Easy work for Nelo. Alvarez is younger than all the Welterweight stars now. Lara II , Charlos, Andrade, Spence, Ramirez, Chavez jr., Eubank Jr., Saunders...all mega fights for Alvarez in the future.
If ggg is old and easy then why not make the fight? It's the second biggest fight for cantnelo

I think it came from top rank actually. Bob let oscar fight on cinco de mayo and Independence Day and once Floyd beat him on cinco de mayo he just took the date. Oscar tried rival cards but he kept fighting bums and Floyd had his revenge. Once Floyd slowed down it was natural for oscar to want the date back.

If Canelo didnt fight on the two biggest Mexican holidays and on regular dates like other fighters do, his PPV buys and gates would be terrible.

So what, is he a bigger draw than Anthony Joshua?

Who makes up these titles and what metrics are used? Or is the question really only for the US/Mexican market?
