Marquez and it's not even close.

Marquez dismantled Pacquiao better than anybody ever did. He beat Casamayor and trumped Juan Diaz twice in two very good scraps. He beat a man's body until the poor fool threw up in his corner.

Cotto just doesn't have many great wins outside of Mosley maybe. The Martinez thing was lucky all the way around. His comeback win against Torres was impressive and a lot of fun, but still, what else did Torres do? It's like Gatti's win over Rodriguez- very entertaining, but who was Wilson Rodriguez? He's been in big fights but usually lost- Pac, Mayweather, Canelo.

I think Marquez has this all day long.

I've always felt bad for JMM, he never got the big fights in his physical prime,

and he got the short stick on some decisions

Cotto by a mile. Bigger wins against better competition. After the close Pac fights who else has Marquez beat that was a big name. No one near a Mosely or a Margarito or a Martinez. Cotto didn't get completely shut out against Floyd every minute of every round. Cotto destroys and I mean destroys fighters of the skill of Diaz or the Aussie.
Take away Pac and there's not much there for the Marquez resume. It's Cotto and if they fought, it's still Cotto.

I know both boxers well and have seen many of their fights. I think Marquez is better. Pound for pound Marquez has a better chin,a higher work rate and better stamina. Part of Marquez's superior work rate and stamina is probably due to the extremely hard training Marquez puts himself through for his fights. Marquez is also a smarter and better boxer than Cotto. Cotto is a converted southpaw with a great left hand and only a pretty good right. Marquez has two great hands.

I thought Marquez kicked Norwood's dirty fighting ass and was robbed of his rightful victory.
