Neither Froch or Ward was eager to make the rematch. Let's be honest about both sides.

The problem is he fights the gauntlet to reach of the top of the division and these other guys (like Stevenson) cherry pick and avoid challenges, then want Ward after he's been through hell and back. They aren't holding up their part of the deal. Why are we defending coward ducks like Stevenson and criticizing fighters that challenge themselves like Ward? Bute basically sat back and fought bums until the Super 6 was over. Why should he get an immediate shot at the champ? If he beat a Froch or a Kessler, then the Ward fight would make more sense.

Anyways, I expect that this fight will take place in June. It's just a situation where one side has a promoter who cries to the media when things don't go her way vs. a fighter that cries and pouts when things don't go his way.

It's just a terrible negotiating situation. But it will get done because it's the biggest payday for both sides.
