Tim Bradley is just on the wrong side of the street, plus I think he's content with just getting the occasional fight for big money at this point, he's no spring chicken anymore. He should try to get that Cotto fight then retire
Everybody is Gunning for the Top Except for Tim Bradley

You're right. But Marquez was a part-time welterweight/fighter at that point. Top Rank had control of the WBO belt in that division and was just doing a internal mini- tournament with Pac/Bradley/Marquez/Ruslan/Rios/Alvarado/Vargas.
Don't get me wrong, it produced some great fights, but I would like to see Bradley try and become the man in the division before cashing out. He seems content with using the promotional barrier as an excuse and being the big fish in the small pond.Comment

Yes I think Tim is still at the top of his game. There's no shame in losing to Pacquaio, he only lost the last 10 seconds against Vargas, he knocked out Brandon Rios, and should have gotten the nod against Chavez, outboxed Marquez - where's the downslide to his skills?Comment

bob has no one for him to fight, and tim is prob close to retiring anyway, seriously who can he fightComment

Bradley has paid his dues, he's in a similar position to Cotto, which is part of the reason the fight makes sense. He shouldn't be trying fight his way through the top contenders anymore, he should be looking for meaningful & lucrative options before calling it a career.Comment

He feels like he did his part in his 140 days. You're right. But Marquez was a part-time welterweight/fighter at that point. Top Rank had control of the WBO belt in that division and was just doing a internal mini- tournament with Pac/Bradley/Marquez/Ruslan/Rios/Alvarado/Vargas.

Hard win over Witter, beat undefeated Devon & Lamont, both who went on to win belts at 147. Plus he's old. A Cotto fight would be a great way to go out.
I know this is me, but I'll forever be salty that Brook-Vargas didn't get the green light, because I know Pacquiao or Bradley would've chased the winner.Comment

Timothy Bradley made his bed, so he'll lay in it; he'll fight for his $2m whenever Arum has a fight for him, and in the down time, he's going to be a father to his children.Khan vs. Pacquiao
Spence vs. Brook
Thurman def. Garcia
Peterson is mando to Thurman
Berto and Porter are fighting to put themselves back in title contention.
It's an exciting time for the welterweight division and Tim Bradley is not involved. It seems like he is just a part time fighter trying to cash out against a big name like Canelo, Cotto or GGG. He built his legacy by fighting most of the top contenders at 140. But since he's moved to 147 his most notable moments are a robbery victory over Pacquiao, a draw with Chaves, going life and death with Ruslan, beating Vargas despite a scary ending and a career defining win over Marquez.
He has no legit wins over top 10 welterweights (Vargas was ranked after the fact when he beat Ali)
I've always been a Bradley guy but it's a shame not to see him in the mix to become a top welterweight. He has never reigned king of a division despite an impressive resume. I once thought he would have a great boxing legacy filled with great accomplishments. Now it seems like it's a career of what ifs.Comment
