I'm not gonna try to sell Lemieux as some master boxer, but I think that had more to do with age and inexperience. Kid was only 22 and had barely had anyone stand up to his assault yet alone fight back. His style may not have evolved massively but he's shown more patience and better pacing (though maybe not in this fight) over the past coupla years.

If you're pissed because I think Lemieux is a sloppy boxer and finishing Curtis Stevens hasn't spellbound me, then sorry guy. I'm happy with the fight, I picked Lemieux to win, but in still not sold on him. It's fkn Curtis Stevens. Calm down.
Yeah, he can be sloppy but he does have that serious punching power. When you can end a fight with one big punch that makes you a big threat no matter you fight. He can beat anyone at 160 (OK, not GGG).

Lemule Left Hook is one of the deadliest punches in boxing, his specialty and JDJ didn't get Stevens to look out for it whenever Lemeiux comes with a right hook knowing the left will soon follow!

22 years old with 24 fights under his belt. Seems like enough experience to beat a guy of Rubio's caliber.

Point is Lemiux isn't a B+fighter, he has A level power but his overall skill level isn't anywhere near elite.

I think he's establishing himself as a serious top 3 now ... He could beat an overall better boxer like GGG with a better game plan and not offering his sweet little face to the jab like he did ... He has the power and just enough skills to upset anyone on a given day... That doesn't make him the best boxer at MW, but that makes him a threat to anyone in the division...

You are a sad and lonely man who gets ragingly angry because people don't like the same boxers you like.

Very powerful indeed. I've always agreed with that. Just terrible form and footwork. I wouldn't pick him over Jacobs, Canelo, or Charlo. But, I think I'd have him beating the current Saunders. That would be a good fight.

No of course not those guys are ATG fighters unlike Lemiux.

I also wouldn't compare Hopkins losing to Roy Jones and Lemiux losing to Rubio
