Stevens is a very strong, durable guy and he is in the hospital right now from one punch. Kirkland packs glass and is gonna be completely outclassed and outsized.

Absolutely, but Curtis has a very good hook and can drop and hurt anyone if he connects clean. That was his shot in this fight to land a big counter right hook.

Yea he needed to throw a left hook but not trade with Lemieux. He needed to use the hook when he was at an advantage not with his back on the ropes against a bigger puncher.

He needed to use the hook like Thurman did against Garcia, when Lemieux was not in position to really come strong with his.

Butthurt hater detected. Lemieux lost twice as a green kid with almost no experience and since then turned into a dangerous exciting fighter, tonight delivered a highlight reel knockout and yet you are hating. Look for another hobby.

This. He transitioned too quick to fighting dangerous contenders like Rubio (who was a lot better then).

I still think he should have stayed the course with Russ Anber, who trained him from day one as a kid, and molded fantastic punching technique in him.


But it is what it is, and he gathered himself, and like you said, has turned into a top-10 MW with one of the best punches in all of boxing.


After he went 12 rounds with N'Dam N'Jikam, and soundly beat him, he established himself as a world class operator, IMO.
