Broner could have losses to Granados (after cheating on the weight), Ponce, shopworn Malignaggi. He also was dominated in his two losses. I think that alone tells you he would be in trouble against Garcia. Garcia has wins over 10 title holders, including very impressive one's in Khan, Mattheyse and a close loss to Thurman. Sure, the Peterson and Herrera fights he could have (and probably should have) lost but the Thurman fight was close.

On top of that Broner would just be a sitting duck. Barely throws punches, has no pop at welterweight and a crappy defense. He also can't box on the move. Recipe for success against an accurate mid range fighter like Garcia.

Broner is an excellent boxer. He's just lazy and waits to counterpunch. Garcia is a counterpuncher too so I'm not sure how that matchup would play out. Would like to see it though.

Let's be honest. Thurman isn't that good either. Thurman made Garcia look like sweet pea in there at times.

They had the announcers hype saying Garcia's defense was underrated. Na bro, thurman is just a B level fighter himself.

Broner struggles with C- level opposition. ...they need to keep him where he is. One step up can ruin his career again

Agreed! AB is very unique....his style is that of a slick boxer....but his lack of a strong jab really limits him.

Garcia beats AB in a very competitive fight. Thurman beats them both.
