you think beating lovemore ndou and senchenko over ten years is worthy of hanging around and getting hbo/showtime time slots over and over and i dont. did we really need a showtime main event of paulie vs judah?Comment

He might have been short of talent or even a C+ level as you say, but Pauli didn't lack for courage. He made the most of what he had. That is more than 99% of the people walking around on this planet can say. I have seen too many talented people sell themselves short, give up or self-destruct. The jails and homeless shelters are full of them. These talents manage to snatch defeat from jaws of victory. Pauli has earned his props the hard way.Comment

this shows how bad he really was when people are saying hey at least he wasnt in jail or homeless! He might have been short of talent or even a C+ level as you say, but Pauli didn't lack for courage. I think Paulie is a pretty cool guy. Eh overachieved and did better than expectations and doesn't afraid of anythingComment

I can't imagine that you did not get the point. Put another way, everyone agrees that Pauli was a limited fighter, but a lot of folks admire him because he made the most of what he had. Losers in life come in two forms: those who are half ******ed and are too dense to figure things out and those who are bright and have talent but don't have the courage to live up to that potential.Comment

yes i agree he made the most of what he had but what people seem to ignore is that he was also handed a lot of opportunities that he de didnt deserve. anyone can get beat up by the best but why should the same guy keep getting beat up? they built him up with crappy fights in order to get another shot and he lost. repeat over 10 years. only difference this time he couldnt even beat sam eggington although in the past he couldnt beat ngoudjo or cano but they gave him the decision to keep that big fight beatdown in the bag. im sure if he did beat egginton he would be fighting thurman or spence next and everyone would be saying paulie is so tough, etc...eric crumble is tough and he did it for next to no money. anyone can get beat up for money.I can't imagine that you did not get the point.
