Both guys commiting 100% beating each others asses. Nowadays their just satisfied winning on points. And then act like it was a beastly performance.

      So very true. Haha.

In boxing, as with all sports, you have your "hardcore" fans, basically an elitist BS club that says "We're so much smarter than you and you just don't get it because...(well you know the Roger Mayweather quote)."

A fight has to have entertainment value to be interesting to anyone with half a pulse. These purists are usually making excuses for a guy taking the safest route possible. It's all well and good for the fighter at the time, but when they can't sell out a high school gymnasium, they only have themselves to blame. The warriors will always get more respect and money in this game. Always been that way and always will be.
Ali and Ray Leonard took their foot off the gas(just like Thurman) when they had fights in the bag.

      They did well...don't you think?

SAME LEVEL FOOTWORK. This way distance will be to both fighters benefit. Willie Monroe jr fast movement to GGG cutting the ring of skills. Fighters like DSG who cant cut the ring off must rely on the other fighter to be there to be hit. The closer fighter are the better chance of punches being thrown and landed which will result in a more entertaining fight.

Couldn't agree more with the original poster!

          And regarding the Thurman/Garcia fight:

It literally took me 10 hours to watch the fight.
Had to stop almost every round and take an hour break because it was hella boring.
