Do you think Garcia should have won?

Let me be more specific. Oscar delahoya did more to Trinidad than Thurman did to Garcia and delahoya pulled the same crap by running last few rounds and they have it to Trinidad. Garcia seemed more aggressor and was pushing forward like Trinidad and Thurman wasn't as active as oscar was. So what's the difference. I personally think Thurman was afraid of Danny's power as oscar might have been afraid of trinidads power. Both of these fights have many parallels and were really not great fights. I think there should be a rematch. Only because a lot of questions were not answered.

If I was Angel Garcia that's what I would have thought..
Thank god I'm not and the better man won the fight..
    Enough said.

I think you need to rewatch the fight and see exactly how thurman smashed at least 7 rounds out of the first 8 then realise that even if he did "run" , the maths still say he won.

I'm not saying Danny won. I am just comparing both fights and for the reason that both guys ran last few rounds , gave oscar his first loss. But didn't work for danny. And clearly oscar won that fight. So I guess the real question is, who got screwed? Oscar or Danny

It's a championship fight and I said this back when oscar and Trinidad fought. You can't run like that. Leonard and hearts went blow to blow and put on a great historic fight. And no one ran. I'm saying this fight was just a sparring match. It didn't do anything or answer questions . The quality of both fights were trash. Atleast oscar was more active but still ran and got the loss.

Imo Oscar won that fight and also he shot his foot by barely engaging in the last rounds.. Thurman gave 1 round away from 10-12 which I didn't like either but one the judge did mess up the scoring at the end which means even a round that Thurman dominated he was robbed of that..

Garcia won 3 rounds at the absolute most.

So because a belt or two is on the line that should affect the scoring of an entire sport?

It did answer questions... it showed Thurman can outbox Garcia ( he threw more punches in every round barr two) Garcia was very one-dimensional. Thurman showed he can be tight and defensive when Garcia knew he had to go for the KO in the later rounds and didnt put himself in unnecessary trouble knowing he was ahead on the scorecards.

You're one of those people who goes to a boxing event and wants every match to be two guys throwing chin bombs non-stop.

Thurman won.. handily. Deal with it.

That was more the answer I was waiting to hear. So you think oscar won? I do too. And think Keith won but don't feel the fight was good. Keith did enough to win but champions don't run and it bit oscar in the ass. Granted he should have just stayed in the fight and not listen to his corner tell him that he's already won the fight. It's like starting to take the neel down in football before the two minute warning

I'm not not dis*****g the win for Thurman. I'm saying the fight was weak. And comparing it to oscar and Trinidad but the opposite results on both fights one fight the runner loses and second fight runner wins. When clearly oscar did more that Thurman did and still lost. I guess my issue is more what the judges are seeing and I know the politics in boxing are pretty high.
