Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker: I'll Fight Tony Bellew Next, No Problem

Joseph Parker is keen to fight in the UK and when he does it could well be against a world cruiserweight champion. The WBO heavyweight king, who makes his first defence against number two contender and mandatory challenger Hughie Fury on May 6 in Auckland, New Zealand, has put his name in the hat to be the next opponent for Tony Bellew.

Parker is the perfect fight for Bellew, it's a very winnable fight, Takam and Ruiz both beat him but Parker got gift decisions in both

Fury will beat Parker but will get robbed on the cards. Parker just needs to remember that Bellew is the A side.

Joseph parker is average...but he will beat the grap out of hughie fury....hughie doesnt have tysons temperament nor aggression level and is way too green. Parker certainly lost against ruiz but it was no rout and he gained a large amount of experience in that fight. A fight against bellew would be a toss up simply by way of bellew being a willing competitor. He wont lay down easy and will give joe all he can handle if he doesnt get caught.

Parker has called out Haye on numerous occasions, and Haye avoided a mandatory shot at Parker to take the Bellew fight.

Parker destroys Bellew, and he most certainly destroys the current version of Haye. Hell, any heavyweight in the top 20 does. Can't believe this is even a conversation.

This could happen i think. I guess it all depends on Hughie Fury and the doping case against him.

The Parker fight might be competitive.

The Wilder fight would look awful. Wilder needs to fight better opponents. Whereas Parker does need to make himself known to the UK market to maximise his earning potential.

It is hard not to make all these assertions without the premise that Joshua keeps winning. If Wlad Sparks him that changes the landscape dramatically with Fury retired. We say we have the best heavyweights which we do but if the top 2 are taken out, not so much.
