All of this talk has less to do with money, more to do with stalling so mcgregor can train and actually look decent imo. It's really a circus show though...it would count as his 50th win, but it's sad that we have to have this sort of fight to attempt to look forward to. I'm a fan of Floyd in the ring, not so much outside of it, but outclassing a guy, who, on a boxing scale is probably a D- level fighter does nothing for Floyd, especially his legacy.

so now u have 375,000,000. that was split 60/40 floyd.

so that give floyd 225,000,000. now, floyd's boss al haymon got his managerial cut, probably 10%, boom another 25 million gone.

Now of that 200 million, take away about 40% for taxes.

Floyd made around 100 million after all was said and done.

Lol these people believing Floyd actually made 300 million loooool.
Didn't he get a 100mil. check right after the fight. there was a video when he had it in his hands and said "You wanna see what a 100mil. dollar check looks like?" If I recall correctly...

He definitely didn't make 300m but he should have made over a 100m. He had a 100m guarantee for the fight to take place, excluding ppv revenue et al

Lol @ floyd flat out saying it's not gonna be competitive at all and that it's a clear cash grab that conor should capitalize on.

              Oh word, there was guarantees?

Still that 100 million guarantee is GROSS, not net, i.e. before taxes, managerial fees.

Before taxes, he still grossed well over 100 million.

He probably did make around 180 million, but after taxes, more like 100-120 million.

Let's say the fight did 600 million net - including gate revenue, closed circuits, PPV buys, and international/foreign television rights.

Immediately you gotta take 40-50% right off the top for the cable companies, and distributors of the fight. Let's lowball and say it was 35%. That's 210 milly; so 600 - 210 = 390 million. May then got a 60% cut of that, which would be 234,000,000.

That would be what Mayweather netted before taxes. After the 39% federal income tax (I don't think there are state taxes in Nevada, correct me if I'm wrong, doe.. Also correct me on the 39% federal income tax-bracket for that level of income).

              So 234 milly x 39% = 92 milly (rounded); 234 milly - 92 milly = 142,000,000/

BY FAR the biggest purse any fighter has ever made, and probably will ever make for the foreseeable future...

But I'm gonna call him out when he lies about 300 million talk, lol.

Let's total Pac's gross and net revenue.

After cable companies took their share, we figured out that left us with 390 milly... 40% of that is 156 milly.

Now Pac has to pay a promoter fee of 27% (that is standard promotor cut).. So 27% of 156,000,000 is 42 milly (rounded); 156,000,000 - 42,000,000 = 114,000,000.

                After the 39% taxes paid, and Roach and his team prolly got, let's say 5 million = 114,000,000 - 5,000,000 = 109,000,000(39%) = 43 milly (rounded); 109 milly - 43 milly = 66,000,000.

So Pac NETTED 66,000,000 after everything was said and done, including taxes.

Damn forgot his managerial fee (and Floyd's too). Let's just say, 60,000,000 for Pac, and 130,000,000 for Floyd. If Pac didn't have that 27% promoter fee, then he'd have around 100,000,000 net after taxes.

Just don't pay attention to it

It's not the first time and won't be the last time a fight like this happened in boxing.

I mean roy jones is still fighting and has no effect on boxing.

Ali once fought a wrestler and a football player.
