Floyd is on record as criticizing Dana White and the UFC for lowballing their fighters, all across the board, when it comes to pay, so him claiming McGregor is in no position to ask for more than ten million is just him playing the negotiations game. Conor can easily make the case that he is being short-changed out of money, in fact, he's at odds with the company right now over it. All he has to do is point towards his PPV buys and make the obvious case that he would bring as much to the table as Floyd in regards to their fight and stake his claim to deserving a bigger piece of the pie.
If it were me in charge of the whole thing, I'd give Floyd his 100 million and Conor at least 40 or 50 million. That sounds more than fair, especially considering the massive fortune we all know the fight will generate.Comment

Yep... Since the fight floys number went from 180million to 200 million and more recently its jumped to 300 million... Hes soon gonna be saying he made the whole 500 million just for him... He must be getting some sort of residuals hence his payment keeps rising almost 2 years on from the fight lollol floyd u did not make 300 million. the fight grossed 500 million. immediately off the top comes like 35% to the distributors. let's be generous and say 25%. that's 125,000,000 gone.
so now u have 375,000,000. that was split 60/40 floyd.
so that give floyd 225,000,000. now, floyd's boss al haymon got his managerial cut, probably 10%, boom another 25 million gone.
Now of that 200 million, take away about 40% for taxes.
Floyd made around 100 million after all was said and done.
Lol these people believing Floyd actually made 300 million loooool.Comment

The whole point is...he can make the fight, Connor has a boss who is Dana White who has a boss...connor is the equivalent of a street level, dime bag dealer, trying to make boss moves, concerining weight and logistics.....lol

Pretty sure they made a deal where they took less because the fight was so big.
Didn't the fight sell 4.6 mil that's 460 mil, the gate was 72, so that's 532 mil, it was also PPV in many countries internationally and the sponsors. The fight would have cleared 600 mil when all said and done.
Of course he didn't keep all the money he said he made, but earnings before tax are still his earnings.Comment

Do you have a link where it says they took less money?Pretty sure they made a deal where they took less because the fight was so big.

Cable companies are ruthless. I don't see them saying "if the fight does X amount, we'll only take this much."
Do you also have a link where the fight did 70 million from international sales? I highly doubt that to be true... Highly doubt it..
I can see a scenario where foreign providers, all together, would maybe pay 20 million...
I'll grant 560 million with merchandise and closed circuit sales, and foreign providers. Ok, even 600 million..
Lol that's still only 300 million TO BE SPLIT once the cable companies and providers take their slice.
Unless I see proof that cable companies agreed to take less than the standard close to 50%, then I remain unswayed.
Floyd did not make anywhere close to 300 million even before taxes.Last edited by Cheek busting; 03-06-2017, 07:33 AM.Comment
