In this case I think it's because Jimmy said "He is NOW the WBA blah blah." I'm guessing Garcia took it as "the NEW WBA...." which then would mean him.

It's because he heard "he is now the WBA", he thought he won the WBA for a moment.

Because he said WBA first. Keith is already WBA champ. Since Keith won he should've said WBC first. "He is now WBC & WBA unified champion"
