One thing I haven't seen much mention of after the fight is how well Thurman slipped Danny's counters.
The fact that he was so wide open against the likes of Guerrero was a big part of why many people were picking Garcia. No one Danny has fought to date, with the possible exception of Herrera, has managed to score consistently without caught by those looping shots Danny times as they come in. But Thurman repeatedly slipped under them and was only now and then caught with something solid.
He deserves credit for that. Showed growth and a side to his game people didn't think he had.
