That fight definitely belonged on network TV! I would've been pissed if I paid to watch that! If Danny had Thurman on his ten speed, Spence or Brook would have him on his Harley! What happened to "One-Time?"

As far as a good fight it was a real stinke... in 2 years Thurman will have to begin to face some of these young lions: Lubin/Spence...@ times Thurman looked as if he was running not using lateral movement Garcia didn't throw enough & only a few body shots .
I had 7 to 5 rounds for Thurman... glad it was free I would have not a paid a penny to watch it. 2 me, it was not exciting no drama.Comment

Garcia showed good defensive skills and caught Thurman with some good shots but he's just too slow to catch and shoot with Thurman. He was also looking for that one shot.
Thurman landed the harder and cleaner punches IMO and controlled the majority of the fight.
Neither fighter were really that impressive but Thurman should've gotten a UD.Comment

Garcia wasn't exposed tonight because he has already been exposed.... I gave Danny four or five rounds. Besides that, he's just a very basic fighter. Very ordinary and far too slow. My dad is as big a casual as any and even he said that he couldn't believe Danny ever was unified. At 147 he's just far too out of his depth., and this is a watered down division at the moment.
Herrera out hustled him years ago. Worst robbery I have ever seen.
Peterson won every second of the five rounds he decided to show up. I had Garcia winning by the way.
Keith Thurman deserved a unanimous decision last night. Period point blank.
If I'm generous, I gave Garcia 4 rounds.
I don't score against a guy who boxes with lateral movement. I do score against a guy who is doing what every reputable trainer tells you not to do - follow a boxer around the ring.
That's exactly what Gift Garcia did last night. Follow Thurman around like a sparring partner - and got tagged for his troubles. Yes, he was exposed last night - same way Manny got exposed. They can't handle fighters who move effectively and never could.
I counted 3 distinct rounds where Thurman looked to be in at least partial trouble despite his movement, and scored those for Danny as a result.
So I ask the three of you. How could you possibly have given Garcia more than 4 rounds? What 5 rounds did you see Garcia winning? Name them and why.
And if I see crap like "Thurman was running", the argument is nullified if Thurman still outworked Garcia that round.

And I wouldn't mind at all. I didn't score it but I thought Garcia clearly swept the last three rounds and while Thurman controlled 1-9, he lost a couple rounds in there at least IMO. A lot of those rounds were very close. So the SD didn't surprise me. In fact, I expected it.
I thought Thurman nicked it. But I'm not buying the whole cooling off thing. Garcia was hurting him to the body and countering well and that convinced him to get to moving.Comment

But Thurman has longer arms and was too active for Danny.
Danny needs to be able to hurt the other guy with his counters otherwise he lose buy D.Comment

Thought the scoring for the most part was terrible. Apparently one of the three judges assumed any round that Garcia stayed on his feet was his. I had Thurman winning easily 117-111, wasn't even close except in the eyes of the one judge that the Garcia's had in their pocket which seems to happen quite a lot. In reality this should be Garcia's third loss if it wasn't for lousy scoringComment
