I thought it was gonna be another Oscar/Tito moment. Thurman was moving too much at the end. but luckily no robbery here. he won hands down. Garcia is right he was the aggressor but that doesn't guarantee victory. if that was the case Floyd lost to Maidana, Oscar and Pacquiao.

Well, Floyd did lose to all three mentioned plus Castillo in the 1st fight, according to most non-American commentators and experts. And if Floyd hadn't been by far the big money-making draw he was in all those fights except the one vs. Oscar and those fights had taken place in the other fighter's country, with the other fighter's judges, referee, box stats provider, gloves, commentators, betting houses, etc., then I am pretty sure Floyd wouldn't be "undefeated" today.

In those fights, Floyd's opponents were effective aggressors, they did actually hit him but of course both the judges and Compubox pretended he wasn't hit, and at the same time, as usual, credited Floyd for many connected punches that never existed, because they either plainly missed the opponent or hit the gloves.

I don't recall A SINGLE professional fight of Floyd outside his comfort zone (United States) and there's zero title fights of him outside his domain, Vegas. Whereas guys like Manny or Maidana are the exact opposite, practically ALL their important title fights have happened outside their home countries.

This fight raised Garcia's stock to me. He didn't do much, seemed confused an ineffective most of the fight, but he took some bombs early on and at least kept trying. Garcia's definitely in the top 10 at welterweight still.

Glad there are others that saw it how I did.

I won't say it raised his stock, because he didn't fight well at all. But he's definitely still a top 5 ww. No shame in losing to the #1 guy in the division.

As far as a good fight it was a real stinke... in 2 years Thurman will have to begin to face some of these young lions: Lubin/Spence...@ times Thurman looked as if he was running not using lateral movement Garcia didn't throw enough & only a few body shots .
I had 7 to 5 rounds for Thurman... glad it was free I would have not a paid a penny to watch it. 2 me, it was not exciting no drama.

He was way ahead, he coasted the last 4. Birmingham was telling him he was going home with the titles at the end of Round 9.

Yeah like I said, it looked like he won most of the rounds in the beginning, but I pretty much missed the last 4 rounds because of my ****** co workers bothering me. Like ****, I'm watching boxing. Don't talk to me. Boxing comes before my job. I don't give a ****.

Great fight! that's what u got when u got top fighters against top.

Some nice exchanges, very calculated pace on the ring, some tricky things in there, liked the fight.

Thurman is now a top 3 WW, Danny has to be a top 5, the dude definitely has a chin and has power, I honestly thought Garcia was gonna win but Thurman did it.

Nothing different than what I expected. Yeah so funny when he heard Jimmy Lennon proclaim the new wba wbc champ and Danny automatically assumed it was him. I wasn't fooled at all lol. They will cry and complain Keith was running and they thought they won but that hype job is over.

Ha ya poor Danny jumped the gun because Thurman was the WBA champ and the way Lennon Jr announced it he said "and now the WBA and WBC unified" so as soon as Danny heard "and now WBA" he assumed it was him that won. Danny has never appeared to be the brightest star under the Sun. Just a really tough one. Fought well but Thurman easy 7 - 5 or 8 - 4.

And I called the split decision all the way. Was chatting to my lady fight friend during the fight and was telling her they will prolly give Danny a card and send it to split decesion. Also called it 7 - 5 or 8 - 4 for One Time.
