Garcia didn't win a single clean round. Maybe the 10th that was it. You have to give Garcia every close round to have it close. Thurman also landed the cleaner shots, and more combinations. That was a 10-2, 9-3 type of fight. The crowd is the only reason Farhood had it 8-4.
LMAO Danny won 4 rounds max he deserves no rematch. He's been given too many bogus wins as it is. Just be lucky he has only 1 official loss and keep it moving. Thurman beats Danny 10 times out of 10. Danny was totally confused and out matched and rematch will play out the same.
It was all made funnier by the fact that after the 12th, Danny was walking around with a clenched jaw, trepidation in his eyes, and he was just nervous as ****. Keith was clowning in front of the camera, confident as hell, so you could see who of the two knew he won, and who hoped he won.
Then when Danny heard "the new WBA..." his face lit the **** up, like a kid. Then the anti-climatic disappointment that followed immediately.
Yeaaaa I had that 116-112 for Thurman, too. Even the last 2 rounds in the corner, both Garcia and his father both kind of knew. And you know that dad of his would've been telling him he was winning if he was lol. Garcia's body language when the bell sounded was a defeated fighter. His shoulders were down and he just trudged over to his corner (the right one this time). Thurman just outboxed him, landed better/harder/cleaner shots, and won the fight. I was a little surprised at Danny flipping the script and saying he couldn't believe he lost after the fight. You could tell even he didn't believe that. This is like that robbery judging in the "split" decision with Floyd and Canelo. Whoever that Morgan judge is, should be down judging college boxing.
Good performance by Thurman from a technical standpoint. Some people will call such a performance unimpressive or boring, but he was smart and did what he needed to do to get the win.
