Dan Rafael is reporting that Adonis Stevenson will be fighting Sean Monaghan. What the hell happened to his mandatory Eleider Alvarez ? Adonis is ducking again.

Oh wow. Massive shock tonight... for which my wallet has also taken a bit of a hammering...

Lets be serious about this though. Bellew has beaten a faded Haye, much more faded than I realised before the fight, othwerwise I wouldn't have staked £50 on Haye in rounds 1-6!

Having said that, well done Bellew! You fully deserved the win tonight & it's the performance of your career. You fought like a champion and fought well & to a game plan to win the fight. You're a terrific fighter and under-rated by many.... not any more

But... To step up and fight the Wilders / Joshuas of the HW division would be madness IMO. Whilst I think Haye at his peak beats DW and gives AJ a hell of a fight, they're both in their primes, both "modern" giant heavyweights and both huge punchers......

I'll really admire you for taking these fights on. But, the chance of winning either is minimal. Why not fight Huck / Breidis - or fight Parker for a good payday?

Whatever you decide, good luck to you. I didn't think you were capable of winning tonight. You have proved me and an awful lot of others wrong, as you have done throughout your career. Well done & enjoy your moment & £££

I give any decent fighter a chance of beating Wilder. He's looked vulnerable in all of his recent fights since he "stepped up' and it's only a matter of time before he faces an elite fighter, gets exposed and this'll be the Michael Grant hypetrain crash all over again. Laugh all you want at Bellew calling him out but i can see him pulling this off. Wilder only has devastating power and he'll always be in danger if he's going against a fighter with a durable chin and/or who knows how to defend his shots. He was being outboxed by a former football player so that right there should give an idea on how poor his technique and fundamentals are

Wilder KO's Bellew in 1 or 2. We don't even need to discuss that. Glad he won today, though. The real fallout hasn't even happened from this fight yet, and that's what appears to be Haye knowing he had a serious injury, flying to Germany to a doctor days before, still telling people to "bet their homes, savings etc on him if they want to get rich", then barely able to stand after 6 rounds and ultimately getting TKO'd. What an arse. He's just a sh* tty human being.

In a situation like analyzing Haye against another fighter, at heavyweight particularly, the important thing is if a fighter is vulnerable, or not. When haye becomes invincible its wrong... Haye never fought enough times, showed enough skills, to be thought of the way others were portraying him for this fight. He was indeed a better cruiser...

To understand this look at precident: People made the same miscalculation when Max bauer fought braddock for the heavyweight title in the 1930's. braddock, the cindarella man, had arthritis, was getting older BUT, he had learned to use his left as a strevedore on the docks, and while arthritis sucks (take it from me!) it does not mean one cannot fight through it for a fight when the adrenaline is pumping... and Braddock, though a bit older, was not so old for a heavyweight. Actually Braddock had experience and momentum!

Meanwhile the devistating Max bauer, was mecurial: he could be really inconsistant and a goof, he took Braddock lightly, and hardly trained. And if this was not enough? Bauer had a gorgeous physique, shoulders as wide as a Canadian football field, narrow waist, and was strong as an oxe! braddock was a pug, built somewhat like...you guessed it, Bellew.

Certainly Wilder is a talented puncher, but he is hardly invulnerable. Is a guy like Stiverne, for example, that much better than Bellew? What happens when Wilder starts getting wild? What defensive skills does Wilder have? How will he deal with an opponent that is more mobile? Not saying its a match, but I will ask the same thing I asked regarding this fight: What makes Wilder such a juggernaught? Who has he bested?
First of all you must admit that injury played huge role in this fight .

Wilder is not juggernaught ,Povetkin ,Fury ,Wlad all are better ,but he have enough to beat bellew ,heres the thing Haye is not classic HW and his shot ,Stiverene is 2 times bigger then Haye (not height wise ofc) and would man handle Bellew ,Bellew couldnt hurt Haye when he was defensless let alone big HW like Wilder or Povetkin.Wilder fought with harder opponent then Bellew in Szpilka who acctualy can box and move quite well.If fight like this is made Wilder will be massive favorite.

How you see Bellew vs Wilder or Povetkin ?where you place your money? ,it would be like Canelo-Khan meanwhile Bellew Haye was more like GGG-Brook size diffrence wasnt so big ,pluse if GGG would break his leg Brook would win ,does it mean Brook is better or he jump to MW to be one of top players ,No.

Bellew wont be player at HW we know it comee on man you know this .

Evander Holyfield was in great form and was top CW for years ,and had many loses in HW ,haveing better chin then Bellew ,and one of greatest Staminas of all the time.

This would actually be Wilder's best opponent to date. Make it happen, man.

I'd laugh if Bellew beat him.

I just heard the same thing said of Haye. Didn't quite work out.

Wilder can't box. Crap footwork. Porous defense. Got a pizza face from Duhaupas.

Was proud of beating up on mentally challenged Charlie Zelenoff.

Wilder won't land his big right hand on Bellew. He'll get countered to death all night.

Just ask Shannon Briggs, who demonstrates Wilder's abilities:
