He's looked vulnerable in all of his recent fights since he "stepped up' and it's only a matter of time before he faces an elite fighter, gets exposed and this'll be the Michael Grant hypetrain crash all over again. Laugh all you want at Bellew calling him out but i can see him pulling this off. Wilder only has devastating power and he'll always be in danger if he's going against a fighter with a durable chin and/or who knows how to defend his shots. He was being outboxed by a former football player so that right there should give an idea on how poor his technique and fundamentals are
Great points... Great parallel regarding Grant. Bellew knows how to box, he can crack a little bit... Wilder has many weak areas and a lot of power on his money punch. Bellew isn't even the issue; when the heavyweights are weak the cruisers come up like vampires from the grave!

One does not have to believe Bellew can go out there and dominate to think on any given evening he could get by Wilder. Wilder is flawed. When Wilder is throwing against a stationary target he looks great, how will those same punches work against a smaller, more mobile guy who can avoid them and counter Wilder?

        • Haye looked terrible but would have still beat Bellew without that injury. Bellew isn't winning an HW title.

          • Instant Classic - with a drawn out ending

I thought Bellew would try to give Haye time to swing in the first couple rounds and let him punch himself out. Hats off he beat him to the punch, then took some good shots and gave a lot more. When Haye got hurt (6th) he was already getting hit regularly again. I thought it was a great fight, btw. A real nail biter

In what world is Ballew more powerful than Wilder? Put the crack pipe down, it's distorting reality for you

When Parker was the mandatory, Hearn talked about getting him to fight David Price (lol) to "build the fight"...

The point is it's not Joshua, it's Hearn. He can make money off Joshua fighting Roman Gonzalez if he wanted to...it's not really about whether or not Joshua would beat someone it's about the risk-reward. At this point Hearn makes more money by having Joshua fight people like Dominick Breazeale than he does Wilder/Parker, for substantially less risk.

The two exceptions to that were Klitschko and Haye (until this weekend) because those fights would make so much money that it'd be worth the risk.

Frankly, it's the same for Parker - if Duco can get him to fight Tony Bellew for lots of money and very little risk, they would much rather do that than fight Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua.
