I get that part and it makes what he did MORE INCREDIBLE.

He refused to quit WHEN HE HAD THE MOST LEGIT EXCUSE IN HIS CAREER TO STAY ON HIS STOOL.

    That's redemption in my book.

tbh we all know he had a bad injury. It doesn't matter if he says it or not, it was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. lots of fighters fight through stuff like broken hands like Bellew did last night or Haye did against Valuev for 10 rounds.

But seeing Haye stumbling around like a drunk and going into a phone booth fight with Bellew for 6 rounds on one leg was insane. He was fighting for his career, and he gave it his all. Very very courageous.

When I saw it I thought it should have been stopped straight away, he could have gotten seriously hurt. Luckily for him he seemed to take Tony's punches well and was still firing his own punches back.

All in all, he hasn't looked great since his comeback. Bad balance, loads of injuries, coordination seems off, power isn't what it used to be... He looked shot to be honest. A shell of what he was, even before the injury. He should retire. He'll have made around 3-5million yesterday if numbers are what they said in the 6-700k range. Maybe even more.

Hopefully that's enough for him to retire on. He doesn't need to be a stepping stone.

Shane McGuigan should have let him finish the fight tho. Throw the towel in early if you're gonna...the man fought for 6 rounds whilst barely being able to stay upright ffs, now we gotta listen to how Bellew ''stopped'' Haye. He didn't stop jack ****...Haye was stopped by the injury.
        100% agree

Couldn't agree more, either stop the fight after the 6th or let the man see the final bell. Bellew would never stand a chance with the champions and most top 10 heavyweights so he should rematch Haye (if Haye recovers) and call it a day.

I really dislike Haye but he earned my respect last night.

Don't rate Shane at all. Not surprised he threw the towel in, cos he knows nothing about heart. Haye could've seen out the fight and denied Bellew putting a stoppage on his record

I don't see the harm in Haye and Bellew doing it one more time, personally. A nice bag of cash for the two of them in what's sure to be an awesome fight.
