Gg fans are fair minded? Yes calling Gg pfp number 1 for beating Jacobs makes a ton of sense. That was sarcasm
I still don't get your point doe.

You believe Jacobs got zero chance in this fight. Where is that coming from? Show me.

To be honest man, you really have to look at who he has faced. He has a lot of knockouts ant that's cool, but he hasn't faced anyone to make him rank among great fighters.

          he has consistency and dominance.

something he has over all previous MW titlists.

the fact is Hagler, Hopkins, Monzon and Martinez have been beaten before. This is a fact of history. They may have had some names from lighter weight classes..... but their lows were when they got outboxed by the likes of Willie Monroe and other bums.

So when you take that into consideration, GGG is right up there with them.

Exactly man. So why is Jacobs suddenly has zero chance to beat a guy who "hasn't faced anyone to make him rank among great fighters?"

Not much, if GGG is who some people think he is, a fighter conceivably on the path to all time great status. I think GGG needs better opposition before he can enter that conversation.

while jacobs is good, I don't think he's accomplished enough to be the "measuring stick" for GGG in an all time great context

Wtf are you even talking about? show you what.

Again I didn't say he has NO chance, every fighter has a chance. All I said was op is trying to hype Jacobs to the moon to make this look like some atg win. Which it's not. Surely you can agree with that

If Golovkin knocks off Jacobs & Saunders in March & June of this year, he's at the very least least equaled Hopkins' MW resume with exception to the Trinidad fight.

If Golovkin gets Jacobs, Saunders, and Canelo this year, not only will he have equaled Hopkins MW resume on the quality of opponents, he'll have surpassed it based on the fact he got all three of those top guys back to back within a 9 month period.

People were already including Hopkins among the ATG at MW with Hagler & Monzon, atleast by modern standards (>70's). If GGG gets those 3 wins in this year, he's entered into that group as a modern great MW. He'll have surpassed every MW after Hagler (Nunn, Toney, Mccallum, Jones, Taylor, Pavlik, Martinez), save maybe Hopkins.
