Paulie tried to intimidate Eggington

i dont think he was talking about that at all. eggington is ranked 14th only by the wbc and he said beating him would put him back in the lower half of the top 10 so that doesnt even make much sense even if he was only talking about wbc rankings. how does he jump 7-8 guys by beating the 14th ranked guy?Comment

Paulie's just trying to get in the guys head and hype the fight a bit . Paulie's a pretty good fighter but on his way to being a Damn good fight commentator .Comment

Your correct imo. paulie also has moments of pure genius insights in his commentary. he just has a certain insecurity that seems to frame his personality otherwise...it is indeed a good point that the other fighter has no need to carry on as such. I grew up in the city and while my hood was Puerto Rican I played baseball in a neighborhood like Paulies... Lots of hotheaded Itralians trying to punk one lol. Its just sort of the way people say "hello and good morning to you" back in the day. So I kind of "get" Paulie.Idk about down but he stopped Senchenko a few years back. Paulie has really bad hand problems and I think that's why he fights the way he does. Im pretty sure I've seen them bleeding after one of his fights. I can't remember which one. I know after he fought Cotto's bro he showed them too and were really swollen, both of them.
Paulie for being a "pretty boy" is a real tough dude. He fights thru beatings and with bad hands too. I respect the guy no matter how much he talks.
I vascilate as to whether I like him or not
presently I do...Think of it this way: max Kellerman, a fellow commentator, was raised in a well educated ***ish family that managed to get him into what was and still is perhaps the most elite public school in the country for High School. Paulie, much like myself, cut school... Yet, comparing them as commentators? Paulie is better and worth listening to in a way Kellerman could only wish to be. I also overcame my circumstances and have an Master's degree...So I emphathise with Paulie in this regard...Guys a scrapper!

Hey man, thanks for the info. Yea Paulie is a loudmouth but everyone has their flaws and I think his positives outdo his negatives so the dude is straight in my book. He is one of the better commentators out there because not only is he knowledgeable but also energetic. You have people like Sugar Ray Leonard and Virgil Hunter who are energetic but they are very bland when they commentate.Your correct imo. paulie also has moments of pure genius insights in his commentary. he just has a certain insecurity that seems to frame his personality otherwise...it is indeed a good point that the other fighter has no need to carry on as such.
