Credit where credit is due. Showtime has been putting on some good fights to start off the year.

They deserve recognition for it.

First off, Thurman-Porter and Degale-Jack were both announced AFTER Schaefer was back with Ringstar, his own promotional company. Second, Kid Chocolate is Quillen, and I seem to forget when he fought himself. Third, Lee-Quillin is not a great fight, it is nowhere near Garcia-Thurman. That you think one or two good fights in three years is something good, well, you are ******ed my friend.


Schaefer has been back less than a year and we have had Thurman-Porter, SC-Frampton 1 and 2, Degale-Jack, and now we have Thurman-Garcia and Brook-Spence and Pac-Khan.

When you can count all the good fights in a three stretch on one hand that is pitiful. There were a few good fights, but now with Schaefer back they keep coming one after another.
