Cotto weighed 153 vs geale for a catchweight of 157, what would make you think that he would rehydrate to over 160 when he came in almost 4 pounds under the contracted weight? This was just months before he fought Canelo. Based on everything I listed with Canelo consistently weighing over 170 on fight night 1 and 2 yrs before he fought cotto, it's not probable to think he had a nearly 20 pound weight advantage? Yes or no? 2. My original point was if he couldn't ko cotto, is it likely that he'd ko ggg? If you had a gun to your head and were asked, will Canelo ko ggg or not, which are you picking?? 3. I don't buy into Canelo taking it easy on cotto out of respect. Young lions take out old lions. The way Holmes did Ali, the way tyson did Holmes, the way Oscar did Chavez, the way pac did Oscar. **** respect, you take their ass out if you can. Canelo has been known for fading in the late rounds so he clearly paced himself to make sure he didn't burn out. It takes high volume to ko cotto and Canelo is not a volume puncher. 4. 1. Your right Cotto wouldn't come in that far under the scales just to blow up. But again from my eyes and photos he looks like he weighed around 160?? I said 162 which is usually even what small guys blow up to on fight night 10lbs.

2. Canelo consistently comes in ALWAYS between 168-174. Yet I have you telling me he set a RECORD??? Heck Khan keeps changin his weight and it last was at like 190?? I'm 5' 8" and and in good shape. Canelo is in WAY better shape than me and I would have to put weights in BOTH pockets to even come CLOSE to 190. So you mean tell me Canelo at 5' 7" with like 6-8% body fat could??? I stand by what I say I believe from the photos and logic that Cotto weighed around 160 and Canelo UNDER 175.

I don't know what Canelo would do to GGG that's why EVERYONE wants that fight. I DO know after Jacobs a LOT of ppl will know what GGG is. He has NEVER even fought anyone I would remotely consider great or CLOSE to a P4Per. Brook but that was a WW.

GGG wasted his whole career fighting bums. What a shame because he's obviously a very skilled boxer, but we never got to see how skilled because he only fought tomato cans. He might fight a couple decent fighters at the end of his career, but that won't be enough.

GGG < Joe Calzaghe for his resume. Neither would have been undefeated if they had spent their careers fighting good fighters.

GGG CLEARLY is gifted and passes the eye test. Hopefully he still has some good years in him and fights the BEST! He's coming up on Hopkins record so after he gets that no more passes IMO. He needs to do BIG fights. And ACT like he's a TRU PPV fighter.

Idk, Joe at least had quality wins. Hopkins alone went on to beat a lot of good fighters for years after their fight.

I don't exactly see that many similarities to Monroe's style and Floyd's. It's sour g****s. Mayweather saying he could've helped a guy after the fact, but not before. In reality, he'd never put his time and reputation behind a guy like Monroe to beat GGG.

Yea I understand the sour g****s angle & I'm not saying Monroe & Floyd are all that similar. I'm just saying in reality I could see Mayweather fine tuning what Monroe does to win easier than he could fine tune what Jacobs does to win vs GGG or anyone else for that matter + that Jacobs & Monroe are very different fighters & probably got near opposites strengths & weaknesses across the board.

It's totally understandable why Mayweather picked Canelo to beat Golovkin. They fought before. Same way some of the people that fought Garcia is picking him to beat Thurman. It has nothing to do with anything other than familiarity. Although I can't see how Canelo would beat Golovkin, he probably has the best chance. He has good chin, he's strong and durable, and he know how to box. Like Mayweather said, Golovkin has flaws. I know it's hard for some people to see them but he does.
