Perhaps Mayweather hypes Canelo to be a fighter that he's not, so that in the event that Canelo does beat Golovkin, Mayweather comes back, whoops Canelo again, and he can say he's the best again

Right now Golovkin is the most feared guy in the MW division and one of the most talked about fighters in boxing. Floyds out of the limelight now and imo his ego still wants him to be top dog.
